Great way to come back! I'm so happy you mentioned Pom Poko barely anyone knows it but it's so good :D

Pom Poko is SO RAD. And honestly upsettingly relevant. An iconic work. Whenever someone says to me they've watched "every studio ghibli film" I'm like OK BUT DID YOU WATCH POM POKO????? (Answer: always no lol). (But I'm also a nerd who /has/ watched the entire catalogue except for My Neighbours the Yamadas lol).

I, too, am a ghibli obsessor who watched the entire catalogue, including my neighbour the yamadas lmao, but yes! Pom Poko is so relevant it's crazy

Should I watch My Neighbour the Yamadas? XD

Which one was your least favourite? Surprising hidden gem? I think my least favourite was Ocean Waves (like wtf) and then hidden gem was The Tale of Princess Kaguya!

Yeah Ocean Waves is fine but doesn't feel very Ghibli for me, but I also don't remember being very touched by Marnie. Kaguya is definitely amazing, but I also love The Wind Rises. I cry every time. Yamadas I think it's only funny if you are member of a family with a similar dynamic and can relate to the moments haha

THE WIND RISES MAKES ME CRY EVERY TIME TOO ;-; I also wasn't a huge fan of Marnie.

Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa are two of my favorite films :) I’m excited to watch the other two recommendations!

They're SO GOOD! Honourable mentions if you haven't watched these Studio Ghibli films, they're super underrated: Whisper of the Heart and Only Yesterday!! They're so good!
